Welcome

The Nordic Steel Construction Conference has a proud tradition spanning over 55 years. The conference series began in Stockholm in 1970 and has since rotated between the four Nordic countries every three to four years, bringing together academics and practitioners.

Norway will host the 16th Nordic Steel Construction Conference in Trondheim, June 16-18 2027.

The last conference, NSCC2024, was the 15th and was held in Luleå, Sweden, in 2024 and gathered a record number of participants, with a total of 250 participants from around 27 different countries taking part in the scientific presentations, the social program and not least everything the exhibitors and sponsors had to offer during the three event-packed days.

Last time the conference was organized in Norway was in Oslo in 2012. Professor Per Kr. Larsen was the chairman and the organizer was the Norwegian Steel Association, in cooperation with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Now the baton once again comes to Norway. Also this time the Norwegian Steel Association will be responsible for the practical / administrative part of the event.

The scientific process, will this time be led by Professor Arne Aalberg, NTNU, as chairman of the Scientific Committee and with professor Arild Holm Clausen, NTNU, as vice chairman. The Scientific Committee will be composed of leading steel professors and researchers from the Nordic countries and the rest of Europe.
